There are a number of ways you can configure your application to send mail via our systems.

  1. Non-authenticated local SMTP: Host=localhost port=25
  2. Authenticated local mail via SMTP:  host: localhost,  port: 587. Authentication is required with a username and password for one of your mail accounts. Encryption (SSL or TLS) is not required.
  3. Use PHP mail() function. This options comes with strings attached, emails sent from PHP using mail() will be subjected to grey listing (3 minutes) and rate limiting (max 10 emails / 60 seconds). Note: This method should not be used for any script that will be sending more than the occasional email.
  4. Use our SMTP gateways exactly the same as any external email client. Host=smtp.quick.net.au, SSL=on port 465. Authentication is required with a username and password for one of your mail accounts. This is the only option if your application is hosted externally.
